Pricing & Cost
How much does garage door spring replacement cost in Austin TX?
Spring replacement typically ranges from $150-$350 depending on the spring type (torsion vs. extension) and door size. If two springs need to be replaced (recommended when one breaks on a dual-spring system), cost increases accordingly. We give you the exact price before we start. No surprises.
How much does garage door opener repair cost in Austin?

How much does a new garage door installation cost in Austin?
New door installation runs $800-$2,500 depending on door size, material (steel, wood-look, carriage-style), and whether an opener is included. We'll give you a written quote before we order anything.

Can you fix my garage door today?
Most repairs (broken springs, opener issues, off-track doors, cable failures) are done the same day you call. Call before noon for the best chance at same-day availability. For after-hours emergencies, call the same number.
Do you offer emergency garage door service in Austin?
Yes. We're available 24/7 for emergency calls: a spring that snaps overnight, a door that won't close and leaves your home exposed, an opener failure that traps your car inside.
How long does a typical repair take?
Most repairs take 1-2 hours from arrival. Spring replacement is usually under two hours. Opener installation runs 1-3 hours depending on the model.
Do you call ahead before arriving?
Yes. We call 30 minutes before arrival so you're not waiting all morning.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Austin and the surrounding metro: Cedar Park, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Leander, Kyle, Buda, Bee Cave, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, and Manor. Call to confirm same-day availability in your specific zip code.
Springs
What does it sound like when a garage door spring breaks?
A loud bang, often described as a gunshot or a car backfiring. If you heard that from your garage and the door won't open, a spring has likely broken. Don't use the door. Call us.
Is it safe to use my garage door with a broken spring?
No. A door without a functioning spring puts dangerous strain on the opener motor and is unsafe to lift manually (residential doors weigh 150-400 lbs). Don't use it until the spring is replaced.
Should I replace one spring or both?
If one torsion spring breaks and your door has two, we recommend replacing both. They wear at the same rate, and replacing just one usually means the second fails within a few months. We'll give you the honest recommendation when we inspect.
How long do garage door springs last?
Standard torsion springs are rated for roughly 10,000-20,000 cycles. At one open-close cycle per day, that's 10-20 years. Springs on heavily-used doors wear faster. Heavy-duty springs rated for 50,000 cycles are available -- ask us.

My opener runs but the door doesn't move. What's wrong?
Usually a broken drive gear or stripped carriage; the motor is running but isn't moving the trolley. This is a mechanical failure, not an electrical one. We fix these same day.
My garage door reverses before it's fully closed. What's the problem?
Likely a safety sensor issue: misaligned sensors or a blocked sensor path. Check that nothing is blocking the sensor beam near the floor. If the sensors are aligned and the problem continues, it may be a sensor failure or a logic board issue.
How old should an opener be before I replace it rather than repair it?
If your opener is over 12-15 years old and needs a major repair, replacement is often the better value. Newer openers are quieter, stronger, and include Wi-Fi/smart home connectivity as standard.
Do you install smart openers with Wi-Fi / app control?
Yes. We install LiftMaster and Chamberlain myQ openers with smartphone control, Google Home, Alexa, and Apple HomeKit compatibility.

How long does new garage door installation take?
Most installs are 3-5 hours, roughly half a day. We remove the old door and hardware, install the new door and opener, and test everything before we leave.
Can I see door styles before I decide?
Yes. We can bring samples to your home or review options by phone. We stock multiple door lines and can show you steel, carriage-style, and wood-look options.
Do you remove and haul away my old door?
Yes. Removal and hauling is included in the installation.
